About Us

Our Story

In 2002, Will Dietz and Chris Werner began their careers together in finance and quickly forged a friendship based on their shared investment philosophy and an unwavering belief that the client’s interests should be placed at the forefront of every decision. While their career paths diverged, Will and Chris frequently met to share investment and financial planning ideas and found that their client profile and business beliefs remained aligned as they each built their respective businesses. Their shared beliefs led to discussions around business continuity planning and a long-term partnership, which ultimately brought them back together in 2018. They quickly found that the partnership provided a combined knowledge that brought out the best in them and laid the foundation for the formation of Iron Mountain Wealth Management.

Will Dietz, CFP®

Managing Partner

Will Dietz realized early in his professional career that financial planning and investment management were more than just interests; they were the perfect combination of analyzing numbers and helping people. Will is a graduate of the University of Oregon, where he received a bachelor of science in business administration and a minor in economics. Shortly after graduating, Will started his career in finance by working for two large global financial services firms.

As Will expanded his personal finance and investment knowledge, he elected to pursue the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2010. This designation is recognized as the gold standard for professionals in the industry who elect to engage in financial planning and investment management work with their clients as fiduciary asset managers.

The opportunity to own and manage his own firm had always been a lifelong goal and led him to establish DH Wealth Management in 2014.

Will and his wife, Rebecca, have both lived in Oregon their entire lives. Their three boys, twins Carter and Jacob and the youngest, Gavin, keep them very active with basketball, baseball, soccer, water sports, and traveling to places near and far. Will has been very involved in coaching youth sports and enjoys a round of golf when time allows.

After graduating with a degree in finance and a minor in economics at the University of Oregon, he began his career in wealth management in 2002, working as an investment advisor with employer-sponsored retirement plans and individual families. Chris founded Werner Financial Group in 2008 to create a firm that places the client’s best interest at the forefront of every decision.

Chris and Annica are the proud parents of three dynamic, clever, and strong-willed children: Wyatt (10), Holden (7), and Clara (4). While he’s not working or spending time with family, Chris enjoys running relentlessly, skiing aggressively, and playing aggravating rounds of shameful golf.
